Collection: Quartz glass

Quartz glass, also known as fused quartz or silica glass, is a type of glass made exclusively from silicon dioxide (SiO₂) in its non-crystalline form. It is produced by melting high-purity silica sand at extremely high temperatures, typically above 2000°C, and then cooling it to form an amorphous solid.

Transmits ultraviolet (UV) light, withstands temperatures up to 1700°C, exhibits excellent electrical insulation, and is resistant to acids and alkalis.
